Our hosts were out and about early this morning and left the house to us. Seemed odd to be in a stranger's house by ourselves. Set off towards the north, heading for Springfield. We have spent the past few months thinking that this trip will be either totally amazing, or the worst experience of our lives (honestly, I bet it will depend on the day) and we will not know how it will go until it is too late!
