Comfortable bed and lots of soft pillows. It was good to have the Mexican Restaurant next door - handy for dinner.

... had nothing to do really, I walked in the garden, saw the raspberry bushes, a lovely tree house, a little pond with fish, the lawn where the dogs love to play around... A little paradise!

I so much enjoyed to be part of a family, everybody around the breakfast table in the morning, the funny Corki dogs, the cat that comes to sleep on my bed, and seeing my old friend Phil after so many years.

Tomorrow I take my Amtrak train to Montreal, next visit!

Our anchorage at Houghtaling Island was very pretty and we felt like we were in a jungle..... the birds were so loud and as the afternoon progressed the crickets took over. In the morning we were lucky to see a bald eagle right near our boat... after the fog lifted a little. We waited a little until it was clear before Marty pulled up the anchor. It was really hard to get up and really muddy- but we wouldn't have gone anywhere in any wind for ...

... those times when you go for it because this confluence of paintings all in one place may never happen again. This Van Gogh and Nature exhibit features nearly fifty paintings and drawings from thirty museums and private collections around the world. And Van Gogh is one of my most favorite artists! So how could we not go!

... an important place at one time. We walked along second street through the wonderful old houses, some were built as duplexes right from the start and you could tell a lot of others were converted into up to four apartments at a later date in time. Mechanicville had the largest paper mill in the world in the early 1900s, and the third largest train yard in the US. The Hydroelectric plant here is the ...
