First stop. Sleep time. Yay
Our first stop was in West Virgina. The only state fully in the Appalachian mountain range. This mountain range is the oldest in the world. And even though the ridges have been clear cut logged many times over the years they currently had a strong tree cover in the area we drove through. This tree cover protects the steep hills from water erosion and protects the wild life that thrives in and relies on the shaded mountains streams.
