... ran down to get our stuff for the day, and then get in line to disembark. We headed straight for the shops, because there was no time for shopping after our tour. Once the speed shopping was done we headed for the tour bus. Nothing good to report today which is a major disappointment for me. Everyone got on the right bus for the right tour today. This is the furthest south Donald and I have ever ventured. We were only 70 miles from the coast of Valenzuela. It was a very nice port with a City Mall with a variety of shops. Very nice downtown area. However, it is a very hilly island. We really got a sense of the island. We joined another family in a taxi to visit a beach with some waves. ... quite poor.

We got off the taxi around 2 and shopped in town for a little bit. Found the "Dot’s Plaza" which the ship recommended for spices and were very disappointed. A very small shop with not much stuff. We came back on the ship around 3 and had lunch. After resting a while, Bob went to "work" after the ship started to sail, and I went to take a steam bath.

... waterfall, ate a fantastic local meal, and did a complete circuit of the island.

We have been marking time here waiting for Awaroa to catch us up and they arrived a few days ago. We intend to sail in a buddy boat scenario through the Venezualan Islands to the ABC Islands. It has been a chance for us to catch our breath and tend to "list" that never really seems to go away when you live on a boat.
