      What we did
      The USS Iowa Battleship is permanently docked at LA waterfront and open for visits. Lucky for us they had a special 4th of July celebrations and so had lots of cool things to do off the boat also. We headed to the ship around lunchtime and had the most amazing smoky BBQ lunch.       We only had 24 hours to spend in LA, arriving at 2 in the afternoon ANC leaving the same time the following day. We checked into our overpriced grotty motel and headed out to Hollywood. We followed the walk of fame through Hollywood boulevard, saw the Chinese theatre, saw the Hollywood sign in the hills and did some shopping.       Good morning....it's still the 27th March!!!!!
      actually, i've woken up and its still dark, night time over the pacific still...who would of thought that because it looks along way it is??

      We had a great dinner and a couple of drinky's, a movies or two and settle in for a great sleep...
      the kids couldnt' sleep the tears started, the pushing, the rolling from side to side...it was hard to believe we'd all still love each ...
