    ... the huge theatre where the lighting & seating were being dismantled but Dick’s legs were complaining loudly so we retreated to the residencia at about 4pm.

    The locals eat dinner after 7.30 but we managed to find a place at 7 & had a good dinner before retiring at 9pm.

    Up at 7 today as we wanted to see Lake Garda, at 370 sq km, the largest Italian lake, about 15k from Verona. ...

    ... weird.

    Anyway, with lots of hugs and happy cries of "buona ventura" (good luck), we all went our separate ways.

    Now it's late and I need to finish packing to get ready to leave for Venice bright and early tomorrow morning. I'm leaving most of my clothes here (I'm sick of them anyway) because I have no room for them now -- let alone when I leave Venice. We'll see what else I decided to leave behind there!

    ... internal debate, I decided to take a train. My logic was that I would arrive there sooner and get to see the town more, and also not hurt myself but pushing too hard. Between not having done a ton of riding the last couple months and all the additional weight on my bike, I knew I wasn't going to be able to get through another 120km day.
    The train took longer then I expected because I had to transfer at Verona Porta Nuova and wait ...

    ... but they were all already booked." I apologized to the others for taking so much time over this stupid sentence. It was clear that they had no clue either, but weren't going to say anything about it. Part of me thinks this reticence is a cultural thing on their part, part of me knows that it's also that all three of them (Alex, Kaoru, and Justin) are just very shy.
