Took a couple videos-pictures really couldn't capture it. Shows each location on the grounds after it was used/when empty. We got there and hung in the front lawn, then moved to the courtyard and back lawn for appetizers. They were carving prosciutto for us... I have found the perfect wine. More later. ... of a dense, medieval feel, with mostly narrow streets and alleys with long, decorated porticos. But the vast plaza in the center makes up for it all--I find out later that it's the biggest plaza in all of Italy! In the center is a square with a canal running around it, and statues of 88 historical figures all around the edge. These include poets, philosophers, warriors, ...

... heart of Vicenza, where Johnny points out Palladio's building's and how he was important in Europe's architectural development. Palladio used cheaper material, depending on the budget of his clients, yet still creating grandeur and magnificent aesthetics. Johnny points out how columns were used--not just because they were needed, but to make the building more beautiful and balanced. It's great to explore a city with my own personal ...
