      Restart Day 5

We woke up early this morning and hit up Lowe's at 6:45am to get some seeds to plant in our Marquette dirt in the sisters' yard. We chose morning glories because they're Marquette colors. We came back in time for breakfast, and we said our goodbyes to Mal after the meal (she left this morning for North Carolina). After her send off we headed out ourselves. We met Joe as we were walking in; he was charging his generator to help start his car to head out to his VA meeting. ...

      Restart Day 4

... leave we could barely escape without food being shoved down our throats- I believe Vee is trying to fatten us up for something, what, I don't know. We went from there back to the house to change (with only taking one small wrong turn) and went to another sister house for dinner. They served us delicious steak soup and key lime pie (for Tiffani's birthday hehe). We had a nice prayer with them ...

      Menu Item: Jack’s Best

Notes: Features one Crown Prime Beef Rib, Pork Baby Back Ribs, and Beef Burnt Ends with sides of Cheesy Corn Bake, Creamy Coleslaw, & Toast. Had a spicy sauce and a sweet sauce.

Comments: There’s no knife (or teeth for that matter) needed here! You could easily cut everything with a plastic fork if you had to. The prime beef rib was extremely tender. The entire strip fell off the bone when touched. As soon as ...

      Joe's Kansas City

Menu Item: Ribs & Brisket Plate with Spicy Slaw

Notes: Today was one of the first days after they changed their name from Oklahoma Joe's to Joe's Kansas City

Comments: Best ribs I've ever eaten. They had a unique taste unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The dry rub on them was perfect. The meat just fell off the bone and was extremely tender. The tender, medium cut brisket had an initial smoky bite to it ...
