          Vancouver to Regina

Still awake, had a good lunch, at the lounge in Vancouver.

The RJ was the smalled plane on this whole trip, short flight.

Mom and Dad picked us up in Regina. Went back to their place, watched the football game, which was almost the first TV we have watched in the last 3 weeks.

Went to bed at 9:30, should have no jetlag tomorrow.

... he watched it. That helped pass some of the drive. By the time the movie was over, we could see the mountains in the distance and Evan was SO excited! He said, "I've never seen mountains before!" So it was will especially awesome when we actually drive through the mountains in a few days. We arrived in Calgary and followed Google Maps to our condo in the new development of Quarry ...

... how set I was on actually doing this. We got the news on a Tuesday, and quickly had to get our resources together aka my mom, the Ticketmaster Sorcerer, Lord of Tickets, The Dark One, Darth Tickertor, that was my mom. After some pleading, some begging, and a little financial working (I took math A30 twice) we arrived at 3am Thursday morning, only a day after we had the initial announcement. Being a member of the EC fan club had finally paid off, ...

We've had our last major hikes with our packs over the weekend. My pack is weighing in around 15 pounds. It is the right size for carry on. We are excited with a little nervousness. We fly from Regina-Toronto-Munich-Madrid.
Should be exciting to be in Spain for the Easter celebrations

... come to an end: and I welcome again - albeit with a little trepidation - the challenge of adventure that lies just around the corner.

Our first stop will be Bangkok, Thailand, where we have been before on many occasions, but never before have we arrived in the midst of massive anti-government protests that are taking place just a few blocks away from where we stay. This adventure will kick off on a definite note of excitement, fuelled by ...
