Left home about 5:45. Flight from OKC at 9:15. Arrived O'Hare 11:15. The international terminal is a totally different building so we had to go out of security, ride a tram to the international terminal and go back through security so that took awhile. Everything else was smooth. Talked to a girl while waiting at the gate who lives in Dublin and had been visiting ...

... The chariot received it's first stone chip on the front. Tomorrow we head to Groom, Tx and the sculptures of the crucifixion and then to Amarillo, TX and the Palo Duro Canyon state park. Probably have at least a few pics tomorrow.

... between two mountain ranges: the Boston Mountains, and the Ouachita Mountains. We drove by Carrie Underwood's home town, a small town not too far from the Arkansas border.

Just before we stopped for the day, we drove into Henryetta to buy a few groceries at WalMart. We drove the length of Main Street, about one mile long. The street was lined with dilapidated store fronts. If this is typical then small town Oklahoma is in trouble.

... was packed and we managed to get an inside seating as new Mexico heating was rising. It was already 90 degrees Fahrenheit I.e. 32 degree Celsius. Briji had the humongous breakfast burrito smothered with red and green chille. I had the calorie rich Huevos Rancheros (popular breakfast dish consisting of eggs served in the style of the traditional large mid-morning fare on rural Mexican farms) with shoestring fries. We both loved it!!!

... rest. He was really helpful and gave us the information about a church further down the road in Tecumseh that would let us spend the night. He even looked up bike shops for us so that we could by more tubes and get Amanda's handlebars fixed. After eating and having nice converstation with Aaron, we hopped back on and peddled to Tecumseh. We got there late, set up camp, shoved our faces with pb&j and hit the hay.
