Beautiful Luzern to Interlaken!

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on Mar 03, 2015

This morning I was up bright and early to get my 9am train to Interlaken. The man at reception had suggested I go via Luzern and I had heard a lot of good things about Luzern so was definitely keen to check it out. The trip from Zurich to Luzern was less than an hour but also very pretty. The weather was stunning and the mountains looked amazing against the blue sky. When I arrived in Luzern I found a locker to put my bag then went to ...

... on, had walked around a bit, when we were approached by a nice young salesman. I thought at this point, oh nice some help, i said 'gutenarben' and he said in a mechanical fashion 'i am sorry we are closed'. I then said, no worries we will just check these out and we will be off'. He then said 'no you are going to have to leave'. As he walked over to turn the music off for the store i said 'i am about ready to give you some money'. Again he replied 'we open at 9 in the morning.' As ...

Our final week in London was massive. On Monday, Julie and I both had a day of work before heading into Covent Garden to see our mates from back home, Maki and Leisa. ... from the amazing day that was planned ahead. After a short 30-minute cable car ride up the mountain admiring the beautiful scenery and Alps, you were 4500m above sea level on the famous Mt Titlis. Before going up the mountain we were told that the time of year it was didn't promise a very sunny day, but despite this, at the top of the mountain there was no clouds, only blue skies and snowy peaks as far as your eyes could see. ...

... descent paragliding through the Swiss Alps. Another 2 checks off my bucket list (first time on a motorcylce). After landing I skipped around town, and came home so enthused that I took off again for a run to jump, only to end up at one of the lakes for a swim that was encircled by mountain ranges. I have found my heaven. Tomorrow I head down to Zermatt to hike the mountains, then will head to Austria to Inesbruck to meet my fellow Canadian gals. All for now, Cheers xo!
