But the biggest stars of our Christmas week were Sam and Henry. Though they clearly would have chosen a traditional Central Oregon Christmas, they immediately embraced a love for the mountains and our Swiss hideout, as well as being very creative and energetic about a different kind of decorating and gift giving. ... collect wood and build camp fire, explore holes in tree roots, collect pine cones in a bag then put them into a basket to wind up onto a platform then put into a chute back to the ground. ... then we were crawling on and around these big rocks. Probably my favorite part of the trip was the zip line into the lake! I ziplined about 20 feet and then just let it go and fell into the coldest and deepest pool. Yes, it was cold! We had a fee more slides but then it was over... ... she had been and met some people from Dorchester!! Then we had a walk back as we missed the bus and have been chilling a la hostel ever since. Ate some Uncle Bens rice for tea as cheapest thing available (even still, 3EUR!) then chatted to a couple from America for ages who had lived in London for two years.
