    As we went to Kaunas, having stopped for fuel, and having chatted to both Andrei and Dimitri, it looked like were going to have fun.
    It rained really hard while we stopped at the gas station, and we decided it probably was best we visited during the summer.
    We got to Kaunas and the sun decided to come out, we seemed to have lost our personal black ...

    ... our our last 20 zloty (£10) or a credit card. After much huffing, the officer told us just to go !!! Fortunately we are old hands at this racket, having had similar in Turkey, Greece etc, so kept our cool. Time to leave Poland and head off to Lithuania by overnight bus. Noted a sharp weather change as we neared northern Poland- and snow !!  5.30am found us finally at Kaunas bus station, a dusting of snow and sheet ...

    ... shot glasses, so I got one for him.

    We had to head right back to the hotel after Emily and Cosette had grabbed their hotdogs. I munched on my pastries. I did stop along the way to grab an iced coffee called 'icy spicy' that was interesting but not as hot as I expected it to be.

    Then it was right onto the bus for an hour and a half drive to the capital - Vilnius.

    Day trip to Kaunas today with Jonathan. We met up with a fellow VTer and Kaunas native, Remigia. Remigia was not only knowledable about Kaunas, but I would think knew every legend of the city. She was brilliant. We saw so much, heard so much, and walked so far. A very enjoyable day indeed.

    ... street, called Galeria Urbana. We shared an excellent bruschetta for a starter and then Cat had a frittata while Ally opted for stuffed chicken (not very Lithuanian but very tasty!). Having received tiny napkins at every meal and joked about how we were meant to wear them, we suddenly realised that they are in fact only there to decorate the basket carrying the cutlery and not to be draped across our laps... Cat hastily returned hers before the waitress came ...
