    ... see on the telly but they were few and far between. What is there are tacky souvenir shops selling the same **** items you get the world over, tattoo parlours and stalls selling more junk. There. Was also a multitude of either bums or people camping. It was hard to tell what they were!!! Really was a disappointment.     ... stalls selling art and jewellery. At Muscle Beach a few over-the-hill men in too tight shorts, with leathery tanned skin posed for photos...they must have been coming here since the 70's! We pushed the bikes back along the beach-side shops - bars, medical marijuana and souvenir shops, then cycled back to drop off the bikes and go for dinner in Santa Monica.

    ... I remembered from "Get Smart", and ended up at Olvera Street, which is the oldest part of LA. There we visited an abobe house, dating from 1818. Upon our return to the hotel, we decided to visit a pizza restaurant just up the road from the hotel for dinner, and made the mistake of ordering a large size! We won't make that mistake again.
