An interesting day today. Started with the biggest rocking chair ever, then a number of old towns, cafes, trading posts and diners. Visited Red Oak 2 which is a collection of old buildings brought together a bit like St Fagans. Found a Box Turtle on the road -these have a hinged carapace at front and back which means its head and feet can be completely enclosed. Had a Mexican meal tonight but not sure ...

This is my first time in Oklahoma! And I’m sure the fine folks who live here are deathly tired of hearing it, but all that keeps running through my head are various songs from the musical. Okay, onto our day…Gene picked us up and drove us to the local school for an assembly. This first group of kids, as would be proven throughout the day, were some of the best John’s ever performed for…he did his program for them, but he let the kids lead the way a few times when they wanted to play along with him.
