Big parade in town tonight. People line up on either side of the street to watch the parade go by. Quite an unusual mix of alien content & Disney characters! Enough said....
3.5 hr drive to Roswell.
There is not much to see along the way, mainly flat land with some farming. Not even a garage that we remember seeing on the 285.

... one downside to the campsite had to be the bathrooms. They were poorly maintained and the only showers available were the ones that were outside for visitors to rinse off in after a day at the lake. We quickly realized that we were going to need to buy bathing suits sooner than we thought (since our first set were stolen in San Antonio).
