Big parade in town tonight. People line up on either side of the street to watch the parade go by. Quite an unusual mix of alien content & Disney characters! Enough said....
3.5 hr drive to Roswell.
There is not much to see along the way, mainly flat land with some farming. Not even a garage that we remember seeing on the 285.

... fields. They are an impressive sight. Roswell will make you a true believer. There were many captured aliens on display. It is a bustling town with lots of shops geared to the tourists. While some people may be disappointed, I found it quaint and the shop workers were very friendly.
... rub salt on the wound the clocks had gone forward, which of course we didn't realise, and we had missed breakfast as it finished at 9! As we were leaving the motel there was a huge truck next to us, the exhaust pipe was the size of a soil pipe, there are lots of these size trucks around - not sure if they can all need them for going on back roads to their homes guess they just like big trucks. So set off for Carlsbad Caverns, decide to take the minor roads ...
