Booked into Downsview in Ashford. Lovely B&B not far from the Ashford International Eurostar station - £10 by taxi. Great breakfast and off in another taxi to pick up the rental hire car for the rest of the trip in UK. Avis had a black (terrible colour) Golf automatic for us this time. Interesting no GPS in this one, lucky we bought our …

We were within feet of tigers, monkeys were jumping on our car, and rhinos were staring us dead in the face as we looked through the car windows. It needs a footrest to make the seat comfortable and the snack bar needs to be better organised. That didn't affect us as we ...

... Eric, Alana and Tom were waiting for us when we arrived at our hotel just after 4pm. It was so good to see them. We all caught the tram into the city and, mostly dodging the rain, had a boat ride on the canals, had pizza for tea in a little Italian restaurant and took a walk to visit the red light ...

... t that difficult as I tought it would be. And I didn't have to go to far under the groud. So yeah, it wasn't that bad. I can acctually do this thing. Hooray for me :) My first stop was the tower of london. Very beautifull! I saw the crown jewels, and paid a visit to the bloody tower and (of course) the torture tower. Saw some cool stuff there. Then I went over the tower bridge and search for the oldest operating theater. An old hospital ...
