... officers certainly did not go without life's luxuries on board with fine dining and nice quarters. However it certainly would pay to be short, or you would be continually ducking your head! Very basic amenities for all aboard when it came to ablutions and beds. Also laden with cannons, guns and lots of hand fighting weapons. Next was the Mary Rose museum. This was my favourite. This is a new museum built to house and preserve Henry VIII's flagship that was brought ...

    Home sweet home
Norwegian Air have a new route from Gatwick to JFK New York. Their Boeing Dreamliner made its first flight over and we took the first return flight to the UK! There's a thing. Not bad, lots of clever stuff like windows that make you think the day is passing and screens on the back of the seat in front to play with. What fun. DAY 1: Arrival in Tonbridge Saturday 26th April Months of saving, 25 hours on a plane across the world and Finally we made it! First welcome into the country was an interrogation by Border security about our whole trip in Europe, she even asked us how much money was in our bank accounts! Sarah and I left the piece of paper that had the address of Margaret and Sid's house in our luggage and didn't have it on us. So we had no way if fining out what it was unless we had internet and ...

... in the yard and while he and his workers caught the ewes from the horse pen and brought them out to me, it was entertaining as we couldn't figure out their method of shifting their sheep between the big and small pens and it taking them longer to drag it out that it took me to shear them. They were also very concerned about the right sheep finding her lamb again afterwards (the lambs ranged from a few days old to 8 weeks old). It was interesting to see how ...

Penryn to Dover, excellent trip in under 6 hours. Shared driving with only a stop for lunch but no traffic problems meant a really smooth trip. Good welcome at the caravan club site, ferry 10.15am, land 12.45 tomorrow and then onto Maintenon just North of Chatres (216miles). Jane and Clive texted, 20C where they are in Spain mind you they keep saying that, I think it is a bit like George's Force 3 when we used to race. Made it ...
