Off for a short break to the Somme region for r and r! Started off well, except for appalling weather and heavy traffic but eased with some delicious Prosecco. Also our first trip in the new Auto Trail, and boy is it good! A quiet and gentle morning with some shopping before embarking for the crossing to Calais. But we spent most of the day just wondering in and out of shops buying a few things here and there it was a nice relaxed day just walking around. Once we had finished our nice scenic walk and shopping trip around bath we went to a place called Chedder Gorge. I wasn't very excited about going ...

... to my placement (just outside Friston, near Eastbourne), I had a text to say that the host's 90 year old mother had fallen and had a brain haemmorhage and was not expected to live. Obviously, this meant the end of my placement, but all my stuff was still in a bedroom near Eastbourne, so I had to drive back down. Had that not been the case, I think I would ...
