Fall Leaf Cruise on the Tennessee River
... the beautiful day and the scenic Tennessee River. We saw wild turkeys, deer, blue herons & turtles along the river banks. The main course on the buffet okay; the turtle cheesecake, however, was delectable! But we weren't there for the food. We were there for the scenery! And we were not disappointed. This is a relaxing way to enjoy Chattanooga's piece of the Tennessee River.

Waterfall in a cave in Chattanooga
... like dragons foot, steak and potatoes and leaning tower. By the time you get to the waterfall you are over 1100 feet below the Earth because the mountain climbs so much. I was a bit anxious about spending over an hour in the cave, enclosed but Alan really wanted to do it so I manned up and I'm so glad I did. The waterfall was amazing, 145 feet tall. ... we travelled along a river full of white water rafters and then a lake. Very pretty and a route I would recommend but you have to take I 24 part way through Chattanooga to cut over to route 64West or you end up on a very scenic tour of downtown and the Acquarium which was worth a look for a amazing sculpture and a waterfall ...

The following day put us through some of most beautiful riding I've experienced to date by the route suggestions of Sara and a bikeshop owner Merick. It was however the most climbing we've ever done in one day as well... 4750 ft. Riding ridgelines and taking hairpin downhill turns for miles.... couldn't have asked for better riding.
