Best Western Royal Inn Needles

If you are reading this, and we warned you not to, here is why....

When we left the Grand Canyon we drove for a few hours that night and stayed in lovely Needles, California, right on the border of Arizona. So thats it, just where we slept for the night, before we headed up to Yosemite National Park.

We just wanted our map to be accurate, hence the reason for this post.

We made it out of Vegas. A good thing since the money extraction process was getting terminal. Felt great to get on the road again. Our travels took us to Lake Havasu, which we plan to jet-ski on tomorrow.

The people here seem really friendly and interested to know why we are here and where we have stopped off on the way. I don't think many of the locals ...

Enroute to Grand Canyon, we made a quick pit-stop at Lake Havasu City, to break the journey and to visit the original London Bridge. The City of London sold the bridge to the founder of Lake Havasu and it was dismantled in the UK and reassembled in the USA brick by brick. The bridge looks just like the one in London, just more pristine.

Urban legend has it that the silly American actually intended to purchase Tower Bridge, but thought that it was called London Bridge.

... most. Přehrada i hráz je nádherná – voda je sytě modrá (i když ne jak Mono Lake, taky tahle voda se mění na pitnou a zásobuje např. Vegas nebo LA) a na okolních skalách je vidět, jak je hlavina nízko. Světlá hráz tvoří krásnej kontrast. Procházíme po obou stranách, který znamenají dva státy – Nevadu a Arizonu, kocháme se pohledy do hluboké propasti pod náma a fotíme ...

We picked up the RV today in Los Angeles, it's fantastic. A 32 foot (10m) home on wheels with 3 beds, shower, toilet, air conditioner, stove and fridge. This will be my home for the next 21 days.
We are headed to Northern Arizona (Bullhead City, AZ) tonight. Boy is it hot, 108F (30+ celcius).

... our first visit! And Dennis Reese looked so cute and comfy up on stage during his parts. This was the first time we had seen him in action since he was appointed as an elder. A bunch of folks were sick, so we didn't get to see everybody, but it was fun to see those that we did. Last night we met up with Rick and Sharon for dinner. ... liquids. most often there is not even that. The music is drowned out by the hot wind hammering on my left ear. Near Vegas the flat landscape is rimmed around by dark craggy ridges, and electricity stanchions. In California we pass a huge field of windmills, electricity turbines. the blades slice through the air. some are frozen still. there are hundred upon hundred of them, entire fields. the only growths to climb off of the blasted desert floor. it was ...

... costs. In 12 months, I guess the cost will go down to $20 all-inclusive and photos allowed from the skywalk. But by then, all the dangerous overlooks will have been fenced off. Currently you can commit suicide, or accidentally fall or feel really vulnerable, without notice, which is more intimidating and a bigger adrenaline rush than the skywalk, and its free!. (Good things never last). And it's another, "I've been there and done that"

... some Elks, and a coyote with a rabbit in his mouth! That afternoon, we were very lazy and spent the afternoon in the spa and the hot tub! We had such a good night that night, we had dinner and then went to play bowling. Afterwards, we walked to the off licence and then everyone came back to our room and we played cards to get some practice in before Las Vegas!

... is approximately 15 degrees cooler (60 degrees) there and we had to immediately run in the Gap Outlet and buy sweaters!!!! Lots of designers at this Outlet Mall.....to name a few: Burberry, Gucci, Lacoste, Versace, Tods and Off 5th Saks Outlet. On Wednesday, we drove to "mile high" Idyllwild. Nice small town at about 5000 ft elevation, above Palm Springs. Very nice drive, with several viewpoints and roadside trails for exploring.
