    Really cute hotel

Possibly the smallest hotel room I've stayed in along my Route 66 journey, but by far my favourite. Decorated with Route 66 facts and novelty memorabilia. The quaint buildings make me feel like I'm back in the 1960s, and the Cadillac outside is the icing on the cake.

The Best Western Springfield served up a basic breakfast. Mark tucked into his sausage patties and scrambled eggs, I decided to stick to the toast!!

    Hello again,

We've landed in Missouri south of St Louis! Paul got to see the arch for the first time! That was very cool! We also saw Budweiser Stadium which of course Paul knows someone who works there and lives next door to the stadium in some condos. I swear he must know somebody in all 50 states!

I wake really early and decide to leave Mark to rest whilst I pop to the gym and pool for a quick workout in an attempt to work off a portion of the calories consumed the day before! It was empty, I had both the gym and pool to myself. The view from the 5th floor to Downtown and The Arch was amazing, especially at sunrise. When I returned to the room, Mark got up, we both got ready for the day ahead and went for breakfast. Mark tucked into the eggs and ...
