    Really cute hotel

Possibly the smallest hotel room I've stayed in along my Route 66 journey, but by far my favourite. Decorated with Route 66 facts and novelty memorabilia. The quaint buildings make me feel like I'm back in the 1960s, and the Cadillac outside is the icing on the cake.

Here we viewed the film on the life to Harry Truman and toured the small museum, his home is only viewed via a guided tour, and unfortunately the first opening was at 3:00 this afternoon, as it was still early in the day we decided not take the tour. We drove by the house, but with the trailer in ...

Might even go back for seconds so that I can feel better about myself. Anyway, I am getting the distinct impression that Missourians are, when left to themselves, party animals. Alcohol not in evidence at these events, but smiles, cheerful approaches to us from ...

I arrive at 12am...this Motel 6 is a little creepy...haggard front desk attendant, dudes lurking from the 2nd floor balcony, girls waiting in a junky car, black cockroaches on the sidewalk. I'm annoyed that the dudes are watching me get things out of my packed car. I keep saying to myself -- you're only here for 1 night! I purposely auto-lock my car doors and give them the 'DON'T MESS WITH ME' stare down...thankfully Vannah is my ...
