Why is it that when you need to get up to go somewhere and you set the alarm you always wake up just before the alarm goes off I had set the following for 4am - mobile phone alarm - television alarm - wake up call !! Saturday, the morning of the wedding was lovely -sunny and
warm and then as we headed off into the town to find a place to park close to
the venue it clouded over and started to rain.
We had time to spare so equipped with an umbrella we wandered around
Ilkley which is a beautiful town.
The rain eased for the guests and the bride to arrive but
came down in bucket loads during the ceremony and reception which meant that
... to the living room to open presents. We all did really well and I am just really glad that Valerie was here with us, so much a part of the family and part of the day. 2013 it is.
The rest of our time in Ilkley, our last couple of days, were spent enjoying the scenery and listening to rain patter on the conservatory roof, and there was a lot of that! We did then head to pick up our rental car, for another portion of our trip, but that's for another blog entry.
