Dawdled a bit in Fulshear, waiting for traffic to die down, took off about 9:00, had a remarkably easy transit ALL the way across Houston. We eventually ended up on Bourbon street, the most famous street in New Orleans where all the drinking and partying is done. It was still only 6pm on a Sunday and the street was packed and most bars where pumping, we soon found out why as we went into a pub/restaurant and the Saints the New Orleans football team where playing up on a big screen and they love their football down in ...

We drove along marshland right to the coast where we saw a weird collection of what I can only imagine is holiday homes – all on stilts, all looking like they are about to fall down. Where we saw fantastic houses around Biloxi, this place is the polar opposite, and gave me the creeps a little bit. An education nonetheless!
