... the fresh air with gratitude.

And then into Alabama, as far south as we are travelling. Right on cue, ‘them ol’ cotton fields’ appeared as soon as we crossed into the state. Our evening meal was served by a woman with a softly spoken, flat southern drawl which was a little hard to follow, but she came good with a salad which David commented would feed a family of four. Really need to so some work on this and get quite a bit of practice in, but it does make you realise just how one needs to hone one's skills. But hey, next year Top Gun! Closing Ceremony of Wing Ding and we say goodbye to our new ...

... and with all the bikes - and there were close to four hundred apparently, the organisation was spot on. A huge compliment to the GWRRA organisers and the police. As we rode through the suburbs we could hear calls from the folk on the side of the road, "Look, Australia". Obviously they recognised the Boxing Kangaroo. Wasn't hard. The flag was enormous! Everything went as smooth as.

After that, we shot over to the Drill teams.
