And then into Alabama, as far south as we are travelling. Right on cue, ‘them ol’ cotton fields’ appeared as soon as we crossed into the state. Our evening meal was served by a woman with a softly spoken, flat southern drawl which was a little hard to follow, but she came good with a salad which David commented would feed a family of four. As we rode through the suburbs we could hear calls from the folk on the side of the road, "Look, Australia". Obviously they recognised the Boxing Kangaroo. Wasn't hard. The flag was enormous! Everything went as smooth as.
After that, we shot over to the Drill teams.
