We had a good time at The Wilderness resort. However, their customer service sucks! I found out later that is was not just us. Some other people we know went there about a month later and had the same poor customer service experience.
We enjoyed the indoor water parks and laser tag. Later that night we went to Ho Chunck Casion and had a little fun on the slot machines.
Still in Cheesy land and we still haven't had any cheese. Hello to everyone, this week we headed to Wisconsin and are now in Wisconsin Dells an area known for its multitude of water parks, indoor and out. There are so many water parks here its a little bit crazy, fortunately most have shut for the season ('cause it is starting to get c-c-cold) and our decisions were narrowed down for us. We ...
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, United States bekandjesseToday we went to the Wisconsin Dells on a Duck ride.
These old vehicles were used in World War 2 to land the troops in the Normandy and also in the Vietnam war.
As a tourist attraction someone had the idea to take these boats or whatever for tours on and around the Wisconsin River.
My mum, step dad, and me enjoied a nice ride through different territories and over the Wisconsin River. Very nice country side.

... on the back of a moving, bouncing trailer for 2500 miles (so far) exaggerates even the smallest movement. Paint gets rubbed, rubber gets rubbed through, wires get frayed.....I have to keep on top of it at least once or twice a day (and the sad thing is, with the weather, the bikes have not been anywhere but on the rack!!!)
Let's see, what else.....Oh yeah, the battery in the Tahoe died at a NFS campground at Wind River. Not a big surprise though. I had ...
... actually a hotel & golf resort. When I went in, and asked if the water parks (inside the hotel) were open to the public and what family passes they had available (we had seen the tickets on the website at an astronomical amount of USD35.00 each, from 2 up), I was told they don't sell passes anymore. A bit of relief in one way, as I find it very difficult to justify $200-$250 US dollars for a swim! However they did have another alternative ...
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, United States foremanWell today will be a short blog, not because it was a short day, in fact we made the longest journey of our trip, but because so little happened on it, except driving long straight roads across miles and miles of farmland. We got up early and decided to forego breakfast and go downtown and find a Diner. We planned to couple this with a visit to the town of Mitchell's main attraction, The Corn Palace. We were ...

I had to get lots of stuff together. I needed all my shots taken care of, my grades in school had to be good, and i needed to apply and get a visa.
August 23, 2008 my journey on the other continent started. My group of exchange students arrived at Chicago O'Hare at 3pm and travelled to Madison, Wisconsin. Together we ...
... to the shear cliffs that were a haven to many rock climbers who we met along the way. Many were older than us. The rock formations and views here were incredible. We took a boat tour through the Upper Dells where the Wisconsin River winds through sandstone cliffs and rock formations. Over the years, the Wisconsin Dells has become quite the resort town, but we passed up the water parks and mini golf.
