      Beautiful drive through Pecan farms and more wide open country. It is so flat here! Still can't get over the views we get when we drive on an overpass.

      So the BBQ was delicious! Colin had brisket, I had pork ribs and we split a sausage. All oak in these parts and red hot sauce with habenaro peppers. YUM.

      One last tid-bit about Luling. This is oil country and the town has over 200 oil pumpjacks within the city limits. About 15 of them have been decorated by a local artist and the Chamber of Commerce actually has a driving tour you can follow to view them. We managed to find a few of them and will save the rest for our next visit, along with the city museum. ...
