    Stayed 3 nights - leaving 1-26-15 for San Antonio. Nice quiet campground. In the high 60's. Guadalupe river runs along campground. $26 per nite. Previously stayed at Navarro mills CG (oak park site 9). Rainy and cold. Saw white Pelicans on lake. Very nice CG there but hookups were were too far from camper. Couldn't use sewer connection as hose wasn't long enough. Bought longer hoses at Walmart in case that happened ...

    ... with pre-packaged muffins (filled with a turkey patty and cheese slice) and other weird chilled items craving a microwave buzz. Seriously. Tea? No. But a coffee pot, yes. Alas, no fresh milk, but a range of dairy additives – in liquid and powdered form and a variety of flavours including French vanilla and hazelnut. And fresh fruit – oranges and apples.

    Today, we moved to a nice campground about a mile outside McMahan, TX. We picked the location since it was near Lockhart - what many consider the center of Texas BBQ country.

    After we got set up, we decided to take the park manager's recommendation, and have lunch at the Whizzerville Hall Pizza in McMahan. It is in a neat old building that serves a great thick crust pizza as well ...
