Ende.
... was that Celebrity cruises weren't as good as Holland America. As we settled in we felt that there was really very little difference between the two. It was a lovely ship (Millenium) and we enjoyed every minute. We went into Hubbard Glacier which was most spectacular but unfortunately very cold, wet and overcast. We only went outside for a short time to have a look. Mostly we were happy to look from behind glass.
We had a day ...
... at Office Depot but they did not have any in stock, so we will have to wait until the 9th if we decide on that one...otherwise we also found one at Ikea that would be suitable. We may stop at Ikea as well today to look at the desk again. The photos attached are ones that Steve took while I was working at Starbucks one day. As soon as we have a little less clutter, I will take photos of our place and post them for you. We miss everyone and wish you all a wonderful weekend!
Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada colleen.killorn... peeping out of their balaclavas clouded with their own breath. So Vancouver at zero is a blessing and as they just had a big dump of snow a few days before we arrived looks magical... all the wooden buildings crusted with icing. And yesterday the mountains made an appearance from within the mists and encircled the whole place, glistening in the sun. Just lovely. We are staying with Simon's Mum who lives a little way ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 2monkeysI somehow managed to get myself, two dogs, two large suitcases, and my backpack (containing, among other things, my camera and laptop) to the Calgary airport without too much trouble. West Jet was fabulous with Lincoln and Darla and they got a lot of attention and were complimented on their adorableness several times. Once I got to Abbotsford it got a little more complicated. Our flight arrived 15 minutes ...
Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada travelingdivaEverything (well almost everything) is taken care of and it looks as if we are ready to go. If you don't already know, Marshall and I are taking a quick one week-er to New York City. I have my passport, my airline ticket and absolutely nothing else ready to go at 11:33am of the day before. With a hockey game tonight, I have no idea how I'm going to get all the laundry, packing etc. that needs to be ...
Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada jyouknit... in between, rainbow flags were flying, the storefronts were all decked out in pride paraphernalia, and the whole place buzzed with cruisy excitement. Todd and I felt completely comfortable walking down the street holding hands, a big change from some of the backwoods places we've visited over the past few months - what a relief. The mix of restaurants of every kind and flavor, neighborhoods, architecture, arts and culture, different races and languages, natural ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada csimpson... times at wreck beach with curtis, and also went to second beach (outdoor swimming pool) and english bay. i have never been to vancouver in the summer and it is so nice. i wish i had my rollerblades or bicycle though - walking is so overrated. ryan and i experienced the gayest moment in our lives at this shop called "cupcakes" on denman street. imagine a cupcake shop in pink with lots of fluffy icing everywhere and two gay guys wearing pink "i love cupcakes ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada deepfin... guy eat), but I was highly suspicious. He was kind enough to take us for a bike ride one day, aptly demonstrating how he never waits at red lights and nearly causing an accident. Needless to say, we waited for the light to change. His threefold reason for not waiting at red lights was thus: 1. As a biker, you inhale much more pollution by waiting at the intersection. 2. You need to be as rude to private cars as often as possible, because they are the ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada jorden... enjoying the scenery from above street level. Leaving Skytrain, I end up at a main transfer station where I'm to catch the 502 Bus. I already know the Bay number but it's hard to find in the pouring rain so I ask another driver for help. Turns out Bay 11 is out on the street across from A&B Sound, which isn't there anymore but I recognize it anyway because it's purple. I make the Transfer onto my Bus within 5 ...
