    ... chipmunks, turkeys and a bird called Clark's Nut Cracker. Once we left the park we went to Don's favourite brewery, the left hander. Don is a master brewer himself and made some fantastic beer, according to Red. Mexican was on the menu for tea at a local restaurant. We had the biggest margarita I think there ever was. Great night again with our new friends. We chatted until late. ...

    ... I walked a bit and actually read the sign about which sites were “reservable”. Mine is one, but I’ll hang in here and see what happens. There’s a tent-camper in the Host’s site, but he/she hasn’t show up yet. Time will tell.


    I cooked baked potatoes and bratwurst out on the grill and had that with a nice green salad. I haven’t been cooking too often lately. The dinner was good and I have enough ...

    ... I guess I just have to guess... I think I am going to take about 2 weeks worth of clothes, but I will just have to start packing and see what fits. Maybe I will be able to take more, maybe less. (Hopefully not less. I don't want to be that person that wears the same clothes every day...)

    ... historic Beijing and modern Beijing. We got a good sense of daily life for several different kinds of neighborhoods. Kaela made friends left and right and got to work on her Chinese with people of all ages. I got to take my cooking classes and we all had many fabulous meals.
