      ... with a thank you note when she receives a gift.

      I opened the package assuming it was an early Christmas gift since I will be on my journey during the holiday season. Instead, there was a necklace, yoga shirt, mini candles and a note that wished me good luck in India and how proud she was of me. I actually felt my heart swell.

      We continued on west through Iowa, which is just as exciting as you imagined. On our way, we went by the Freedom Rock, which I had heard about but never seen. It is a giant boulder painted to commemorate veterans and fallen soldiers. Gorgeous monument.

      ... being that it takes 3-4 days by train compared to 5 hours by air, if you are in a hurry. You hear a lot of people on the train talking about their preference for train travel.
