    ... River at the "famous" Yankton Bridge. Leaving Nebraska behind we continued north , always north into South Dakota. The land flattened but with quite a bit of water around, the farming became more mixed, with cattle , wheat , soya bean appearing.     ... it - Hairy mammoths and Columbian mammoths. I never knew there ws mire than one type. The Columbian mammoths are nearly 3 times as large. A sinkhole (part of a cave system that collapsed in) appeared over thousands of years and filled with water. Many animals including the mammoths fell in and couldn't get out.     ... during Summer they put a gift shop in the
    middle of the basketball court and you can watch a DVD about the Corn
    Palace through the years. It was a gathering place for thousands

    Tonight we slept in a covered wagon just like LIW! We cooked hotdogs on the fire and had Cheetos mix and ruffle potato chips.
