The town was still a bit sleepy, so we didn't encounter that many folks who were ready to say good morning to a clown, but we did meet a woman on the sidewalk who told us she'd just moved there a week and a half ago and was utterly delighted to meet a real circus clown. ... Jim spoke at the final plenary session on "Connected in Fellowship" and did a fantastic job (in my unbiased opinion!) on concluding the conference with how we should work together and be united in Christ.

Dickeyville is a town in south-eastern Wisconsin, not far from the Mississippi River. Elenka, our amiga Lynn from Owen Sound, and I were driving through the town, perhaps named in honour of the Toronto Blue Jays less than stellar knuckle baller, R.A. Dickey. It was late afternoon and we were on our way to Chicago when I saw the circa 1950s, Bates-like motel. We just had to pull in.
