This morning we all had breakfast with Uncle Jerry and Aunt Katherine at Denny's. It was hard for me to say goodbye. We left Kilgore around 10:30 and began to make our way across Texas. ... in Childress. We had salads and chicken fried steak (me) and brisket and baked potato (Dad). The food was excellent and the check, including tax and tip, was $26. We couldn't find anything on TV so we watched Mad Men on our portable DVD player.Yes, it was a pretty boring day, as the first day always is. But that's the price you pay for a motor trip and we both love them!
