This is the highest part of the fort which has remains of palaces, water cisterns and caves. It has a beautiful entrance door called Mahadarwaja. One can view the whole fort and the vast surrounding expanse.

i had had an ecstatic day before visiting pune...and i was completely unprepared for my entrance exams. but i loved being on my own (alone) in a new place travelling in the state transport bus...and returning back with shatabdi..wow it was quite an experience!

Pune, India flap... a hundred painting hung on wires around the perimeter each one about 6 feet tall and 20 inches wide. Very colorful painting of trees and faces and shapes.
