... itself, branching out to a chain restaurant located on Khao sarn road.
As we moved along the stretching beaches of Lanta, the image of bustling beach towns gradually faded into distant view, replaced by the tranquility and peacefulness of the sea.
Had Klong Dao is the nearest beach, abundant with resorts ...
... to meet our boat driver for the day. On the way, we visited
a rubber farm where they drain rubber from trees, process it and
press it by hand at sell it in 1.5kg sheets for just over £1.
Again, the only people around, so it was just the two of us for a
private tour of some tropical island beaches! The first place we
stopped was just us, the boat driver, and a the ocean. We swam
around the area for around 45mins before heading off. The islands
were ...
... a sheet, air con which is a real luxury for us, and outdoor shower.... and a fridge! OH... and the bed was huge.... Usually this place costs much more in the high season. Our resort has a small pool and is right on the beach. It has been quite stormy lately so the beach is looking as nice as it it usually does and there are jellyfish right now... so we stuck to cooling off in the pool... and heating up by the pool! We realxed on ...
Ko Lanta, Thailand heatherlindsay... around his body really fast- it looked really cool!! On Tuesday, we checked in for another night- but had to move rooms as someone was moving into our room. We spent the day by the pool (the sea was a bit rocky) and I had a thai foot massage. The massages were done on what looked like a huge four poster bed overlooking the beach. My massage was only £6 and lasted about an hour- she also cracked by back, which I wasnt expecting and it made the worst sounds!! Ali was too ...
Ko Lanta, Thailand aliandvicky... The resort is set into the hill side of a bay where you can see both sun rise and sun set!!!! I have some beach time and some good thai food and prepared myself for another massive journey tomorrow to KL. This part of my trip feels really rushed due to the fact that i need to be in Aus by Jan 8th for the work visa so i will have to re-do parts another time, there is so much to see!! Onwards to KL..........
Koh Lanta, Thailand scottiedog... grabbed a milkshake. I had been lathering on the factor twenty all morning but to no avail. By 3pm I was pretty burnt and realised the factor 40 would have been a better choice. I forgot just how close to the equator we were. About mid afternoon it started to drizzle and Alan arrived at the pool. He must have brought the rain with him. We sat there in the overcast shade for a while and eventually gave up on the sun for the day. We had a quick snack at the bar and headed back to ...
No terceiro dia finalmente ...
Ko Lanta, Thailand aguas... I had time to do my taxes while I was on my descent. Eventually, I hit the water and it rocked me. Not as bad as Rachel but it definitely puckered me up. It was an awesome activity. Next, we headed over to Monkey Beach. They said that monkeys used to come to this beach during low tide and leave before high tide. One time high tide came in especially fast and the monkeys didn't have a chance to get off the beach to higher ground so they had to brave it on that beach. They found ...
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand ramrtw... seemed to be able to wade out into the water for ages before it got any way deep. We went and had a good feed in a fish restaraunt whi8ch was very nice. Good Panang curry which was becomming one of Clives Favourite dishes and Conors. Chocolate and Banana Pancake on the way home. Knackered as it was so hot in Phi Phi at this time. 3rd day was same as the first only clive got lost on the way to the ATM and ended up strolling round the island trying to find his way ...
Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand cccd... It only took one 24/04/08 The following evening started very much the same way, finishing off the remainder of the vodka. Then on going out I was introduced to cocktail buckets. Yes, why have glasses when you can drink from a bucket. Not only is it shatter proof and lighter, but it generally holds as much as a pitcher. All good strengths in my mind. After one bucket of long island ice tea we joined some people from the ...
