    ... are out by the thousands, eating, drinking, smoking and connecting with their neighbors. Such a vital time at night. But with our long day we decided to just go out from 7:30 - 10:30pm then head back to our hotel and into bed. Chris' pedometer marked we walked 11 kilometers today. And now my feet feel like it. So happy to be here. Special thanks to Cliff and Sandy who gave a condensed version of Rome....as we are going to Florence ...

    FINISH DAY (for the Main Radweg, anyway). As usual we were up early and away at 8am. A quick stop at the supermarket for fresh bread rolls to go with our hard-boiled eggs for lunch, then off onto our last leg which immediately went into an Umleitung! Even at the supposed end of the detour we were unable to get back onto the path because it was impassable for a loaded bike between trucks, diggers, etc. Eventually we found a side road that had a pedestrian alley on to the path.

    ... has the Worlds largest internet raffic point. Yet with all of this it has a population of only 700k people. Outside of the Germans the next prominent nationallityis the Turks with 9% of the population, appears a lot more from our observation.

    Anyway we crossed the Main River to Sachsenhausen which was supposed to have a nice cafe strip. It was predominently sports bars but we did find a nice little Jazz cafe and a German ...

    ... would assume that most of them didn't have any luck. Some musicians were playing/singing with an open case in which people put money. Several of us struck up a conversation with a couple young men from Georgia and Texas who were living in Germany and trying to get tickets. They told us that if they were not able to get into the game they would go to a sports bar to watch the game and then come back to the arena afterward to join the celebrations.
