    ... over to Wash World and did laundry. Getting bad weather news from Wacken. They are experiencing quite a bit of rain. We went from 40 degree heat and no rain to 20 degrees and lots of rain! On the ICE train to Hamburg now and then a few more trains to Bad Bramstedt. WACKEN STARTS TOMORROW!!!!! ...

    FINISH DAY (for the Main Radweg, anyway). As usual we were up early and away at 8am. A quick stop at the supermarket for fresh bread rolls to go with our hard-boiled eggs for lunch, then off onto our last leg which immediately went into an Umleitung! Even at the supposed end of the detour we were unable to get back onto the path because it was impassable for a loaded bike between trucks, diggers, etc. Eventually we found a side road that had a pedestrian alley on to the path.

    Just a lay-over stop in Germany on our way to Rome. From the plane I notice how organized the landscape is. I will definitely be coming back to Germany someday. I really enjoy listening to people speak german, I'd really like to learn the language.
