... city; its certainly not as grand and spectacular as other capital cities in europe, but there is defintiely a special charm about it that i love. There are also lots of day trips you can take outside of the city where you can check out the caves, go rafting, canyoning, paragliding etc. i would love to come back here one day when it's not raining!

... The city itself is small with around 270,000 people. The main part of town is a walking area and there is a lovely castle on the hill. There is a nice small river running through the town with many bridges to allow you to cross to get to the castle. We spent most of Monday here and then took off to Lake Bled which was another 45 minute drive north west.
