Zurich
... and weird organ music playing. We then paid the 4 Fr. to climb up the narrow stone stairs and steep wooden platforms up the tower. From there, we could see most of Zurich, the Limmat River, and Lake Zurich. The water combined with other church steeples, blue sky and the quaint buildings was quite picturesque.

Switzerland - Day 14
... a restaurant situated on the side of the ski slope where people who would be skiing for the day could stop in and have a coffee or something to eat. Once again the hospitality and food was immaculate. Mushroom soup with a pastry top was probably the stand out which Tom ordered for entree, followed meat and more Rosti for me, mouth watering. I dd however have to refuse Petra's offer of a wine as my head was already spinning due to the altitude ...
Something a little more exciting
... don't really know where the time went. But we met some cool people from all over the world and it was pretty cool that they knew of or had been to Nz before. It was a real conversation starter. Time catching up on us we left the city at 1am and headed home. So today it was a little bit of a struggle to get out of bed, but we didn't have much of a choice. Our next destination is Venice, and it's going to take a while to get there, 5 and a half ...
The Big Day
... a huge tree in the garden. One fear we had was that the whole event would be in Swiss, but everything was translated for us, including the bible message.
After the wedding we had drinks and nibbles on the waterfront, followed by a 2 hour cruise on the lake.

Arrival
... and were able to strut around town taking it all in as Zurich awoke.
We started at the train station and visited cobblestone alleys, walked along the waterfront, listened to the pipe organ play in St. Peter's Church, browsed a farmers' market and generally enjoyed taking pictures and telling each other, "We are in Europe!" and "Isn't this beautiful?"
