    ... up front at these stops). We got in just after sundown and went straight to a Casino at the tri-state border (Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma). They had "motorcycle parking only" very close to the entrance (this made Jim very happy). Had a great dinner buffet and found a hotel. Checked in after 10 pm. A long ~750 mile day but a good day overall.

    ... architectural styles popular in the late 1800's.  Many of the homes and buildings were constructed with Carthage limestone, a white, very *********e found in this area.  The town has published an historic homes tour which was very helpful.     ... to my thighs and wading in the little brook where the run-off falls are. brrr, was it ever chilly. It was crystal clear, and blue... gorgeous! The photos will show buoys attached to underwater frames and we assume that's to guide the scuba divers. I didn't see any marine life in the water, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist in the deep water. The hole itself is 60' wide.... ...

    ... in Kansas right now because they have had more rain than normal -- it has been a happy summer for farmers. I've forgotten to mention that we're now in the Central time zone and have been since we entered Texas -- we're now only one hour different from Vermilion.     Crazy, crazy day. As is always the case with us, it's almost time to go and we aren't ready. Despite packing several weeks ago, we had to pack. Things were taken out of the bags, things were being washed, things needed added or subtracted, etc. Packing is something that is stressful for us, but even more so for our babies.
