      Today we rode off into the rolling hills of Missouri and encountered our first road grade greater than 10%. We expect to see a lot more of this in the coming days. Once again the weather gods smiled on us, the wind was minimal, there was no rain and a bit of cloud cover did not spoil our day. We enjoyed the rural ride through small, well kept farms and had a dinner repast at a local truck stop adjoining our hotel....ah the luxuries of the itinerant ...

      ... a week earlier than anticipated... I've worked out that I should be able to attend Thursday chapel at school right before leaving and, if practices have started, I should be able to be in attendance of at least one scholar's bowl practice before leaving the states.

      ... attractions along the route so we can look out for them along the way. We have found some of the information is out of date with items missing, or not on the map where indicated. The first one was Bernie's steak house - This turned out to be a photo stop for an old closed road house. Twice more this happened with Peggy Sue's Diner and another roadhouse restaurant.
