Today we ride a huge 539 k's to Joplin
Oh my, 300 miles and a late start, got out at 8.30 and arrived at 7.30 at night. Last hour we were riding into the setting sun.
So today we saw some real R66 road. Rode over some brick blocks as the surface and found some concrete dual highway. We did the Rocking Chair and the biggest sweet shop in the world.
A lot of I44 at 75mph to cover the distance.

From St. Robert it was all Old Route 66 all the way to Kansas, crossing over I-44 several times more and driving through many towns along the way. The road was fast ...
... and now it's been twice in the last 3 days. Oh well, the food is good, and they serve beer, so it's worth not driving all over town looking for a place to eat.
Tomorrow we drive down the western side of Arkansas to Texarkana. It's interstate part of the way, and the rest is some mountain driving, so we are allowing plenty of time. We've been that way at least 3 times before, and really enjoy it, so it won't be boring!
