Got up for a very nice breakfast at the adjacent Char Burger Restaurant. Part of the hotel night includes a voucher for a "free" breakfast cooked to order. A ate more at this meal than we think she had at ANY other meal on our trip. Definitely more breakfast than she had in the past 2-3 weeks.

Afterwards we checked out of our spacious room and went on our way to find the many waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge. Our first ...

It felt wonderful to shower, I hadn't showered in nearly three days! Everybody eventually came home, and we had lunch. After lunch, Mom and Grandma took me to look at an awesome house ...

... my time from before, and just take it easy, I should be able to do it easily. That's what I will be doing in Scotland, stopping to take pictures, stopping for lunch, stopping to take in the sights, stopping to rest and enjoy. When I was walking Saturday, I realized that a 16.5 or 17 minute mile is really a good pace for enjoying my surroundings. Maybe if I slow down to an 18 minute mile I will find I have less discomfort after mile 11. Anybody want to join me?
