Our Hatchery Duty Has Come To An End
... the 10', 500 pound, 70 year old boy resides. They would be standing in front of a ginormous map with a "* You are here" mark on it. The map indicates where everything is at the hatchery. It also says "Follow the fish painted on the pavement for a tour of the sturgeon and trout ponds". I guess these particular folks couldn't see the fish painted on the pavement as they were standing upon it.

Our Last Day On Duty
... I have to be careful where I go. Many of the walks are wide enough to vacuum but don't always stay that wide or comes to a stairway or a narrow pedestrian bridge. I manage to get into a couple of situations where I must back out. Backing is harder than I anticipated because there are no side view mirrors to assist me. Thankfully, I manage to escape from these areas unscathed. Whew, how embarassed would I be if this retired big rig driver needs ...
No Such Thing As A Routine Day Around Here!
... that was obviously dumped by some bozoid. The entrance looks much more grand now.
Tomorrow is the beginning of our three day break and we are looking forward to blowing this joint for some R&R. We have only taken one full day off in the sixteen we have been here. Hey, don't start calling the Feds or anyone else. We have NOT been abused. Well, maybe a little but it is self inflicted. Life is really great when one gets to do what they want to do when they want to do it!

Our First Day On Duty
... tidy.
The evening rounds are pretty much the same except we do not close the Incubation Viewing Area. Security does that. We also pick up the trash from the gift shop/coffee shop and take it to the dumpsters. We do get a perk from the gift shop in the form of a nice discount on all merchandise and free coffee!
For the last while fish markers have been at the hatchery marking small fish that will some day ...
