    ... gorges and lakes of exquisite blues and greens were our surroundings. We were able to walk out on the compressed snow. It was here that we ran into a Rotary friend from Rocky! Yes, it's happened again - just amazing. Our world is so small. Banff is such a picturesque town, with buildings replicating those of Switzerland.     ... designed for natural lighting as there was no power when the museum first opened. It was the park superintendent's office up until 1936. Next stop was the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. The exhibitions contained some beautiful and rare First Nation Peoples ceremonial attire and many other artefacts and some of the history of First Nations in the Canadian Rockies.     The next place we went to was called Wild Bills Saloon. There was an R&B act playing. Not my sort of music but besides about 5 other people we made up the majority of the crowd. They even invited us to their after party. Most of us gave it a miss but our tour guide went with them and didn't return until after sunrise.
    On our way home we got a massive slice of pizza. We made it back about 2.30pm.

    Thankfully tomorrow we get a bit of a sleep in! ...

    ... to ski in so many different places.

    For Art and Helen it was being with our friends and experiencing the Rockies in the winter (with all its snow, gletchers, ice formations and activities).

    The casual games of hockey on the town pond and Lake Louise were also highlights.

    Well, Thank you Canada, we will be back!

    Currently we are in the Netherlands. Family, friends and carnival!!!

    But we will keep that for the next blog...
