What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. So this gets to be a short blog, besides I'm running low on battery :) We walked downtown Flagstaff this morning, nice town, lots of freaks, I fit right in. Then followed Route 66 about a hundred miles to Kingman. That's the longest uninterrupted stretch on the whole route. Seligman was having some kind of car show, lots of nice rides. Even have a red and white clubhouse, for those who know what I mean. Country is just beautiful, rugged yet a kind of gra...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States 7x70on66Rachel and I learned a few things about the art of road tripping... (1) Schedule the day well, and stick to it--We hoped to be on the road by 9am, spend an hour in Salt Lake City, and only make stops for food and gas. We actually ended up leaving Boise at 9:45am, spent 2 hours in Salt Lake City, and stopped to take pictures a few times (by the "Welcome to.." signs). Consequently, we arrived in Rock Springs, WY, after 8pm. (2) Reserve a hotel room--Arriving at our destination 2 hours later tha...
Rock Springs, Wyoming, United States amcgilli Our first vacation that was "just the two of us", we spent 5 days in Disney World (one of my favorite places in the world!) and - a first for me - stayed outside resort property at the EconoLodge Hawaiian Maingate - hey, it was $39 a night, we were broke college kids, and those park tickets are expensive!
Well Andrew and I managed to get about four hours sleep before dragging ourselves out of bed at 4am-the taxi arrived at 4.30! Ten minutes early! So after a quick scramble for the bags etc we were out of the door.
On arrival at the airport, there was already quite a massive queue-unbelievable! But we got checked in fairly quickly, got free extra leg room for me (albeit right at the back of the plane because i'm not fit enough to open the emergency exits) and managed to have some breakfa...
We left Birch Run, MI this morning at 0730 after having a breakfast of dry cereal plus some very good cake donuts, one with nuts and one with a chocolate coating...yummmmm!!!
It was pretty humid and muggy with the temp at 77 so A/C was needed right off the bat for the first time in our morning start. The sky was partly cloudy with some signs of storm clouds to the north and west.
We jumped off I-75 at exit 152 about 30 minutes after we left the motel to get some go juice at the ...

Winter Park, Florida, United States ahartry... and laid in bed with my eyes closed for what seemed like a few hours, but it was probably only twenty minutes. I was just really out of it and felt like ****. I'm not even sure if I actually fell asleep or not. I haven't used Benadryl since then! I went downstairs when I could finally get myself out of bed and Mike, mom and dad were all watching "Date My Mom" on MTV... yes, my parents liked this show and watched it every time it was on while we were down in Florida ...
