      -stopped 3 more times before getting to my brothers place in Portland

      ... around for a bit - looked a little scared/unsure of his surroundings and then hit the road. Thank goodness we didn't have Sandy outside when he came through.

      Today, Sunday, 7/20, we left Butte for Missoula. We took the scenic route (route 1) which is the Pintler Veterans Memorial Scenic Highway --- that it was, very very scenic.       ... to Helena. It was also where the Montana Rail Link lines split going east, one track heading north to Helena, the other continuing east to Bozeman and beyond. Thought it would be a great little spot, except the tracks crossed the highway twice within about 1/4 mile of the campground, so trains blew their horns at the crossing all night long about every 30 minutes.

      Well, tomorrow's another day.

      ... we have moved to hotels and resorts to accomidate the needs of the family members.

      It is a great time to connect and share stories with all of the generations. There were three generations present, from 80 years old to 1 year old.

      ... you would want to eat every day, but it was quite good and reminded me of a dish my grandmother made for us as kids, without the pastry around it.

      Then off to the World Museum of Mining next to the campus of Montana College of Mining and Engineering. Again, doesn't anyone throw anything away anymore?? Amazing all that was in these old buildings which were authentic, but moved here to be more accessible.
