We had a great room and the staff were so helpful with direction to restaurant and things to do.

The hotel is close to everything you need to do in LA and so easy to get around.

A very enjoyable stay and one we will repeat again.

Looks like Amazon Prime wins again... So our shopping excursion took us the whole morning, yet only bore us a frisbee...I'd say it's a win:)

We did homework in the afternoon and then went to see Kingsmen at an mall a couple miles away from campus. ...

... out the heated argument going on in the car park. We set our alarms for an early getaway hoping to make it to the coast by midday. Thankfully, the miles went by pretty quickly and before we knew it we were heading up the scenic Highway 1 along the coast. With stunning views of the ocean, and having stopped off at the Elephant Seal Viewing Area near Hearst Castle (William Randolph Hearst's old gaff), we soon forgot about Bakersfield. Arriving at Plaskett Campground just after midday ...

The following day we stayed around the area and took our hosts bikes out for a ride around a dried up lake nearby (there has been a drought here for ages apparently) and had a paddle in what was left from the mini damns. That evening we went to a Baseball match which was so fun! We saw the LA Angels vs Oakland at the Angel stadium which was hugely impressive. ...

I'm in my element, got a photo with Spongebob as well as Marilyn Monroe, Lucille ball and Doc :))). We were in no rush as we had front of line passes so we don't need to queue for any of the rides!!! Went to see the Waterworld, which was based on the movie and uses water stunts ...

... action, very well done, we’d have to say. By this time, we were all hot and tired. Josie and Cheryl considered the Animal Actors show, but it wasn’t until 6:00 and we all just wanted to get “home” to the Magic Castle. So we packed it in, caught the tram and the Metro and made it to Hollywood Boulevard.

Again we saw the contrast between the well thought out organization of Disney. There were ropes and a line set up ...
