We are staying 4 nights in Renfrew, Ontario to just relax before our next stops Montreal and Quebec. This is a nice KOA campground, expensive but nice on a small spring feed lake that is over 100ft deep. Some people and children are swimming but it is cold water. There were many road signs touting the qualities of a placed called Pembroke so I rolled the dice and took a right turn off ...

... us off and before we left Jim gave him a tour of Big Bertha. I think that maybe the bus, and Jim, might have a new gig in the fall municipal elections... ok, maybe not.

It was a great but hot ride to Pembroke where we set up a whistlestop at Mark's Work Wearhouse. We were well received, people very interested in what we are doing and donating and buying souvenirs. Next stop was CFB Petawawa which is ...

... join them for dinner (sure again! We'll eat 2 meals) which is where we met the rest of the family, up from Fredricton & New Hampshire for a wedding! It was absolutely wonderful and was a nice way to break into our first 60km after a week off.

The next day brought us back into Quebec where we had a VERY hard time finding the trail and we were realy starting to doubt our decision but we did eventually find it. ...
