    ... acting crew , they sang a few numbers but it was mostly dialogue , some funny bits but got a bit long winded in parts so we left early.
    back to the cottages for burgers for T and a couple of reds, Eleanor got an invite to go to the big house for a painting activity and ended up staying for the night.

    ... place. Our flights from Deer Lake to Halifax and then from Halifax to Ottawa were uneventful and we gained an hour and a half. On the drive from Ottawa to Pembroke, we had two experiences of the unique odour of Skunks. We didn't see a skunk, but they apparently will sometimes just leave this very strong odour across the roads.     ... just had to wet our feet in Golden Lake. The water was quite warm unlike the Ottawa River water which we tried the day before and it is still very cold. Oh the pain!     Eating up the miles (kilometers?) on the way out of Ottawa, I headed northwest on Canada 17 towards Sudbury. The beautiful Ottawa River was on my right and I motored along admiring the scenery and the lack of people and traffic.     ... decided to go with the flow... It turned out a lot better than I expected and the swim at Iron Ring was the only one of the day. I did get to practice the "T" rescue several times during the paddle downstream.
