    Left the beautiful north woods this morning. My neighbors in the State Park Campground, Bruce and Holly, issued a most gracious invitation to camp in their driveway in Boise on my way back to Cody if I took that route. As I have said before, you meet some of the greatest people out here on the road!

    We were all sad to leave today but all good things must come to an end eventually. C made another batch of her now-famous huckleberry pancakes which we ate until we were positively stuffed. At started to rain pretty hard (by our California standards at least) just before we set out to pack the car, so we delayed a bit until it let up. The girls cut out paper snowflakes with C while D and I finished packing ...

    It was a pretty exhausting day today. We only rode 85 miles but the majority of it was on this horibbly gravelly road that just killed our speed. The ride was hard but when we got to Richland and we had an awesome friendship vist with the arc of the tri cities. I was able to meet some amazing people and share a fun dinner and dance party with them. My entire day was made when ...

    I know, I know, we should have stayed home, snuggled against the cold and snow, but...it's my birthday and we thought we should go somewhere and celebrate. Not quite the truth, but here's how it happened:

    As many of you know, we've been searching for a replacement for what's his name, the motorhome. (Keep this mum, as he has feelings too.) So I realize that Costco gives a great discount for RVs too, as well as cars and such.

    We'll Jim just dropped me off, I already miss him and the rest of the family! Made it through the id check just fine, but they didn't like my carry on. So they ran it through the x-ray again, still didn't like it so took it all apart... Good thing I have everything in these eagle creek ...
