About 21 months ago I was offered a job in Canberra on what I can know see was a seriously good local wage. At ...

Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia caro_paquette... though it was very cold! We found out there are many places which are suitable for families to venture, however, it's a pity we didn't have much time to spare! Also, the wild animals, we could see them around anywhere here! At least 3 different kinds of birds and wild rabbits! Would love to go again in the future, perhaps, during spring or summer season! It is too cold for us during the winter!

Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia sc_myinitialCANBERRA (26/4 - 30/4/09) Left Cootamunda on Sunday morning and it was very cold. Dropped down to 5 degrees as we were driving through the Yass area. Starting to worry about how cold it will be in the van in Canberra. It was freezing cold and blowing a gale when we arrived. Decided, because it also looked like rain, that we should set up the whole annex to keep us dry and warm. Well it was a good idea, but the wind certainly ...
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia madnomads... luggage, well any of ours anyway, wore poncy pantaloons tucked into their knee socks and Scottish style hats, eh why? But it was quaint & cutesy. Admittedly it was not that big a deal queuing for breakfast the morning after daylight savings came in which is one thing but being so disorganized as to have a massive 30 minute queue going the next morning as well is another entirely. I don't care about the logistics of how they run the breakfast room but as I am paying ...

Canberra, Australia joergenSo following the decision by Jo & myself to make a road trip to Canberra for Sat and Sun 21st & 22nd of June I was looking forward to a quiet friday night in, in anticipation of the early morning drive to Canberra! Clearly that attempt failed and we totally slept it out the next morning and ended up dragging ourselves to the car hire shop early afternoonish on Sat to collect our hire car ...

Sydney, Australia lorraine11... coming out of the water. Then they'll usually run back into the water because there afraid. It takes a couple of tries going back & forth before they get up the courage to make the trek up the beach & onto the grassy area where their babies are waiting to be fed. It's quite a show & of course they can see all the people, but don't appear to be afraid of them. They probably look at us & think how rediculous that all these people ...
