        Mike and I decided to have an easy day, with a relatively short ride of around 300 km. It was not as cold as Monday, with a range of temperatures between 8 and 10 degrees.

        It was great riding together for first time since the 1970s, and to see the same wonderful scenery of the prairie provinces.

        I had dinner with the same ‘just outside Toronto’ woman from lunch, as well as a couple from Edinburgh whose daughter works for Virgin Atlantic and had managed to get them a first class flight over to San Francisco, but any green-eyed-monster was put to sleep by the fact that they’d had to pay $2000 each for their four-night trip from Vancouver to Toronto, whereas ...

        ... and sunflowers were most noticeable. I have never seen sunflowers for as far as the eye can see before. What a sight. "Children of the Sunflower".
        It is unseasonably cool here so I believe we may use the services of a hotel or motel or hut at a part rather than camp. All I can say is - "It's a hard life".
        Had a great visit with an old friend I have not seen in over 23 years. Very nice evening.
