... I arrived in Portland about 20 minutes ahead of schedule. I got my bags in about 10 minutes and was standing on the curb, waiting when Suzi arrived. It was wonderful to see my sweetheart again. I am happy to be home again.
I love my time with my family, but home is always best.

Saturday, Feb 15th, was the day of the funeral. The Waddell Clan all gathered at Suzi's house before leaving for Beaverton. The funeral ceremony was well attended as Jannie had many, many friends, and there was also a lot of support for her kids. ... of weeks along, as we have to let the family have time to get here.
I am blessed that I arrived home in time to be here for the family at their time of need. It made me reflective of my trip so far and the privilege I have had to spend time with people that I will never see again on this earth.
I will be home for about 6 weeks and then the journey continues. Please keep Suzi and Family in your prayers.

Although at times a sad occasion, it was a wonderful celebration in honor of sister, Jannie. Family is what it is all about.
