Took a punt looking at the available roads, driving initially along the river bank then z bends up the mountain till we literally burst into the square of Chiesa Nuova S. Luigi. The numerous mills that benefited from this vigorous run of water are mainly ruins, though there is some restoration work ongoing with one mill, and several others have been converted into private residences.

Armed with detailed maps from the Belluno Tourist Office, headed straight to the trail head for Valle dell'Ardo. It far surpassed the map and directions given to us from Dolomiti Parco. Imagine our surprise when the next car that pulls in next to us is the couple in the apt underneath us at Feltre. They recognised us from Valle del Mis yesterday, and saw us leaving from the apt. this morning!
