We packed up the house and managed to squeeze 7 people’s
luggage into the 2 small cars. Our final trip up the windy 15knm of road that
we are now quite familiar with – even seeing the legendary Italian driving with
a car overtaking another just prior to a ‘blind’ corner, plus plenty of Italian
cyclists on their Sunday hill climb ride.

This is a day to explore the ancient inner city of Udine which includes the castle on the only hill which was built in the 1500s.
