Awoke to blue skies and a tame marmotte in my planter box, nice to be so close to nature. I had stayed at Colfosco just beneath the Passo Sella at 1,645 m a ski town with some excellent summer sales, so some compulsory gear shopping was required. Came across several ruined buildings before reaching a reconstructed display fojaroi. Another feature of these buildings is that they are built almost into the hillside, so the upper story can be reached from the outside without the need of a ladder or trapdoor.....animals downstairs, people and/or supplies upstairs. Mind you, not much room on either floor.
