We did a load of laundry at the hotel and after a fine hotel breakfast of white breads and sugars we set off toward Abilene with the goal for the day to make it to Caprock Canyon State Park. We were all looking forward to the camp thing again after a couple of hotel nights.

The third place (Cap Rock) was also preparing for a function but I had a tasting there also and bought two bottles. This winery is in a really neat building/setting. Don McLean dedicated the album to Buddy Holly and the American DJs put two and two together and decision was made that the song was about the plan crash. The Texas Walk of Fame is a list of the musicians from Texas, it is amazing how many are from Texas.

We were sidelined on our southwestern camping trip by a large deer and the tow company dropped us off at this BW. It is satisfactory, but seems a little grungy and not vacuumed well. However, in true BW form, they have everything we need here. Micro, fridge, breakfast, internet, etc.
