Again the parents went for breakfast at 7.15am and then returned to do the
packing ready for us to leave at 9.30am. We drove for 2 hours to Palm
Springs, Zoe and Laura watched T.V on the laptop whilst Daniel
navigated.

The temperature was 110 degrees upon arrival and none of us were looking

... onto the Victor Trail. We assumed we had missed the entrance to this as we felt like we had walked at least 2 if not 3 miles but it had actually only been 1. It was so hot and meandering it felt like so much further. The Victor Trail is a 2 mile hike up on the mountain ridge through really barren desert with lots of cacti and great views but it was so exposed.
