A lovely day -- with an easy drive out to Sacramento, a good day visiting Sac State (which is a very pretty campus, especially this time of year, with the leaves changing), then an easy drive home. Definitely a long day, and I was exhausted by the end of it, but not a bad one at all.
Sacramento, California, United States ahartry... well! We met up with her and spent the day exploring the Old Town Sacramento.

It's a great historic area with lots of fun stores and things to do. We stopped by one of those places where they dress you up in the old western clothes to take your picture - we had such a blast! We also enjoyed a great lunch at a Mexican restaurant in town!
Sacramento, California, United States bookitorskipit... ended in a dirt and gravel road up to this strange dwelling and sculptures. It was all fenced off with "no tresspassing" signs and signs announcing it was to be a historic site.

I snapped lots of photos while Charlie proceeded to get covered in that powdery dust marking tiny bushes that presented themselves.

From there, I got into Reno in time to watch Emily's first ...
Sacramento, California, United States journal70... where we had our own house on a beautiful compound with 4 or 5 other houses. All were secluded within gardens and pathways. The house was fully furnished, two stories, and relatively cheap. Plus 3 dogs for Amy to play with! Amy and I would go back to the Sacred Valley just to stay here.

2) Hilton Buenos Aires. Definitely the highest end and most luxurious place we stayed. Great service, awesome rooms (especially on the executive floor ...
Carmichael, California, United States derekjjensen... at times, sure, but the good times are the ones that I really remember.
Sometimes I still wake up to nightmares about the begging children, getting our bag stolen, the bomb scares, the stares faces of men on the metro, or some of the other unpleasant experiences. But when I wake up I try think about all of the great things: learning Hindi, skipping classes at Delhi University, getting Beef Kabobs in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, boatride in ...
Davis, California, United States heatherandrew... in deep converstioan with bar friends, dark horse tail tied up and huge smile in his face. 'ain't no rules, ain't no vow's 'cause everyday we pay the price with a small sacrifice' 'jammin till the jam is through' Last night i found out how much i suck in social games. Starting with the 'hot potato', 'Bob's world', key and number games. Too hard for my logic? or my mind is just not into so simple logic. I do prefer the second version...overthinking..but i just might ...
Davis, California, United States ramblerTesting.. I want to test the video uploader, so I'll upload some videos that I already have. I also want to see how well they integrate into the blog. The first video is of Andrew and I with his brother and dad in Big Basin at Berry Creek ...
Davis, California, United States hpcantua... general attitude of the people- I don't think there is any place like it in the world. My tour group was absolutely the best too. I don't think I could have asked for a better group of people to spend my time in New Zealand with, they were all just awesome. I was really sad to leave New Zealand without seeing so many things so I will keep it on the list to go back to some day. Thailand was bitter sweet, the beginning of the end for me. I loved Thailand , I plan ...

Davis, California, United States bigfoot2355Hi everyone, we've finally managed to drag ourselves off the beaches and out of the various eateries to start our travelogue. This is our last day in Samoa & we fly off to New Zealand tomorrow. Here's the story so far ... San Francisco Had a fab time in San Fran - it's a great city. Our hostel turned out to be a bit of dump so gave us lots of reasons to spend as much time walking the streets as possible. After depositing our bags in the hostel we ...
